The Bedroom

Ascend the stairs from the Sitting Room and you find yourself in the largest room in the house with window and traditional Maltese wooden balcony (see inset) overlooking the street.

The feeling is that of sumptuous luxury, a queen-sized bed with large dark wood posts and a subtle hanging Knights’ cross tapestry. Romantic and comfortable, the attention to detail in the room’s accessories is breathtaking.

The original artwork in the room is a photographic interpretation of Gericault’s painting “The Raft of the Medusa”. Measuring almost 2 meters in width, with a cast of 12 models and a specially built set, it features the story of the survivors from a ship called Medusa at the moment they spot a ship on the horizon

In the evenings settle comfortably in the two leather armchairs and have a read of the available books on Malta and other reading material in the niche-library. A sound system along with a choice of Maltese and Classical Music CDs will help create the mood.
